June 2018, Alaya Dedaun Kuta recently conducted a CSR & Environmental Preservation activity with a “Mangrove Forest Planting” at Eco Wisata Bali (Kampoeng Kepiting, Tuban), a mangrove conservation site located at By Pass Ngurah Rai near the toll gate.
This program was attended by staff and management teams from Alaya Dedaun Kuta, Tanaya Bed & Breakfast, Dala Spa and Tans Bakery and Pastry. It was launched with a few words of encouragement from Resident Manager of the Alaya Dedaun Kuta, Mrs Dewi Artini, together with Mr Kadek Agus Diana from Eco Wisata Bali.
Approximately 100 mangrove trees were planted during this initiative in an effort to help preserve the local ecosystem and its biological diversity. As they grow, the trees will also serve to protect Bali’s coastal area from erosion. Moreover, the mangrove forests are expected to effectively alleviate the effects of natural disasters, such as unusually high tides, tropical storms and tsunami waves.
We do hope that this kind of activity will enhance environmental awareness amongst our staff members. By taking action now as a likeminded community, we can all make a difference to how we leave Bali for future generations.
